Having been raised by a jewellery connoisseur, some of my earliest memories are of tea parties at home, lounging on silk carpets as gemstone sellers and 'karigars' from across India laid their treasures out on velveteen blankets for mum and her friends to peruse.

 

As a child, visiting jewellers guilds, learning the differences between gemstones, and spending time chatting with master craftsmen interested me far more than playing with dolls.

My father, Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan, is seventh in the lineage of our Indian Classical musician 'Gharana' ; Imdad Khani. Like his father and grandfather before him, dad has been fortunate to have found love, respect and success in his field; Internationally. My brother and I had the privilege of travelling with our parents, and experiencing other cultures extensively at a very young age. That wonder with the unique and artistic, is what I strive to bring into my work. 

 

I know the concept of buying jewellery online can be daunting, but in a world where we’re all hoping to get the best we can for our really hard earned money; selling online allows me to remove so many markup costs part of a brick and mortar responsibility…

 

I started this tiny business during covid, and covid has changed the way we shop, in ways that are probably going to last.
